Here are the top three stories in St. Louis today:

  1. A Maryland Heights driving range is closing. The Golfport is closing its doors after 41 years of operation. The center was a community staple during its time. The driving range allowed 150 people to hit golf balls at once. The owners are shutting it down due to the stress of operating. Click to watch the memorial video. (KSDK.com)
  2. Former nurses are suing St. Louis developer Paul McKee Jr. The trademark infringement lawsuit is about the use of Homer G. Phillips' name. McKee plans to use the historic name for his new three-bed health facility. The nurses are arguing that McKee is stealing the name's legacy. The Homer G. Phillips Hospital was the only public hospital serving black residents until 1955. It also trained the most Black doctors and nurses in the world by 1961. (St. Louis American)
  3. St. Louis Burger Week is underway. The popular series will continue until Sunday with 53 different St. Louis area restaurants participating. The restaurants will be offering specials on their signature burgers throughout the week. Participants will be able to use a mobile app to track their journeys. (KSDK.com)
