- A woman who was shot by her neighbor Wednesday morning is recovering, thanks to the quick actions of a Good Samaritan nearby. The incident occurred around 11:00 a.m. in a neighborhood off of South Grand Boulevard, where YoVan Young heard a woman screaming and rushed to her aid. Young reportedly helped the woman get behind a car for safety and used his belt as a tourniquet to slow the bleeding in her leg. Officials say the suspect involved is now in custody. (KMOV4)
- The eighth annual Saint Louis Black Fashion Week is coming to a close this weekend with a series of special events. The Saint Louis Art Museum will host a guided art museum tour today in honor of the event, and the "PRIVE" Fashion Show Pre-Party is slated to take place at The Dorsa Room tonight. The show's grand finale will be held at The Third Degree Glass Factory on Delmar Boulevard tomorrow, Nov. 6. Visit the link for ticket information. (KSDK.com)
- The Missouri Department of Transportation will host an open house-style public meeting on Nov. 10 to discuss proposed renovations to Watson Road and Route 366. The proposal includes the replacement of a bridge over Gravois Creek as well as updates to sidewalks and signals within the Watson Road corridor between Geyer Road in Sunset Hills and St. Louis City. The meeting is scheduled for 4:00-6:30 p.m. at the Crestwood Community Center. (Call Newspapers)
