- GOP candidate Katherine Pinner has surprisingly dropped out of the St. Louis County executive race. The candidate did not provide the Chair of the Republican Central Committee with a specific reason for her desire to drop out of the race. The deadline to formally withdraw her candidacy has passed, so Pinner will need to petition the court to remove her name from the ballot. The Republican Central Committee will have two weeks to announce a new candidate to face incumbent Sam Page. (The Business Journals)
- St. Louis Hill staple Mama Toscano's is closing its doors. The restaurant sold St. Louis-style toasted ravioli and sandwiches to hungry customers. The restaurant has operated since 1941. The 4,000-square-foot space is being marketed by commercial real estate firm L3 Corp. (The Business Journals)
- Charges have been filed against two individuals for the tragic fentanyl overdose of an 11-month-old child. Destini McConnell, 21 years old, and Jerome Jones, 22 years old, have been charged with child endangering due to a 15-minute delay in dialing 911. They are being held on a $100,000 bond. The child is getting treatment. (KOMU)
