Here are the top 3 stories today in St. Louis:
- Kenneth Gregory has been named as the new police chief of St. Louis County. Gregory was first named interim chief last July following the resignation of former Chief Mary Barton, who served as the department’s first female chief. 69-year-old Gregory has served with the department for 41 years and is the department's first black chief. (St. Louis Business Journal)
- Two police officers were hit by a car on Interstate 64 near Boyle Avenue on Monday. The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. while the officers were responding to an unrelated crash. Both officers were taken to Barnes-Jewish Hospital for treatment and are reportedly in stable condition. (KTVI Fox 2 St. Louis)
- The St. Louis Cardinals have announced 30 theme nights for the upcoming baseball season. The team has also added a total of four new theme ticket dates to the 2022 calendar. The theme nights include Nurses Night, Friends Night, and Peanuts Night, where fans will be able to take home a Cardinals-themed Linus bobblehead. (KHMO News-Talk-Sports)
