Halloween Safety: Interactive St. Louis Sex Offender Map
Have a safe and happy Halloween. Find out where the sex offenders live in your neighborhood before you take the kids trick or treating.

ST. LOUIS, MO — Take this chance to find out who is living in your neighborhood before you let the kids go door to door trick or treating. A 2010 law prevents registered sex offenders from handing out candy on Halloween or appearing in costume in public. Further, they are to remain inside their residences between 5:00 and 10:30 p.m. unless they have cause to leave, leave all outside residential lighting off during trick-or-treating hours, and post a sign stating: "No candy or treats at this residence." But, law enforcement says to be on your guard anyway.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol has published an interactive map detailing all sex offenders living in the state. Zoom right in to see neighborhood level details. You and your children may want to avoid these houses and apartments on Halloween.
