Here are the top three stories in St. Louis today:
- A new homeless shelter in North St. Louis is searching for volunteers and donations. The new, non-city-funded shelter is located at 4145 Kennerly Avenue. It will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The most pressing donations needed are coats and cots. (KTVI Fox 2 St. Louis)
- The St. Louis County Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred in the City of Berkeley on Sunday morning. The shooting happened in the 6600 block of Larry Lane around 2:00 a.m. Monterio Smith, 26, was pronounced dead at the scene. The shooter was transported to a local hospital for treatment to a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Anyone with information is asked to contact the department. (KMOV4)
- The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in a Price Chopper parking lot. The shooting happened on Saturday evening near the intersection of Goodfellow Boulevard and Maffitt Avenue in the Wells-Goodfellow neighborhood. The victim has been identified as Troy Bond, 38.
