Hostage Situation In South St. Louis Ends In Arrest, No Injuries
One person was arrested. No one was injured.

ST. LOUIS, MO — KSDK St. Louis reports a hostage situation on Cherokee Street that ended without injuries early this morning. A man in his 20s barricaded himself and one other person into a building. The man was arrested a little more than six hours later, and police reported no injuries.
"Officers responded to Cherokee and Nebraska for reports of a group of subjects playing loud music," Police said this afternoon.

According to police reports, as the group was dispersing, an intoxicated man discarded a firearm and fled. Minutes later, the suspect's grandmother called 911 from her residence nearby saying the man was threatening to kill himself. Officers heard a gunshot from inside the home, but were able to safely extract the suspect's grandmother. No one was injured, and the suspect was taken into custody around 9:36 this morning.
Two firearms were sized, police said, and the investigation is still ongoing.
