  1. A woman found two toddlers that wandered out of a north St. Louis County daycare on Monday. The incident occurred at Young Expressions Childcare on Patterson Road near Florissant. The toddlers escaped the center by opening a gate in the center's backyard play area. They had walked almost the roadway before the woman was able to grab them. The center has had numerous complaints and violations over the years. (KMOV.com)
  2. Jeff Roorda, the St. Louis Police Officers Association's business manager, has exited the organization. Roorda has been a controversial figure during his nearly twelve years with the union. During his exit, Roorda argued that the union is deeply divided. Retired St. Louis detective Joe Steiger will take over as business manager on Oct. 3. (Subscription: St. Louis Post-Dispatch)
  3. A St. Louis Juvenile Detention Center staff member was severely beaten during an attempted mass escape on Sunday night. The 61-year-old male staffer has been hospitalized with several broken facial bones. During the incident, 15 detainees were released from their cells. The St. Louis Police Anti-Crime Task Force was able to stop the mass escape attempt. (Fox 2 News)
