With Long Lines At Fox Theatre, 'Hamilton' Quickly Sells Out

If you don't have tickets to Hamilton at St. Louis' Fox Theater, it looks like you've thrown away your shot.

ST. LOUIS, MO — Hundreds lined up outside The Fabulous Fox Theatre early this morning to buy tickets to see the hit Broadway show "Hamilton," which will be in St. Louis April 3-22 next year. Written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, "Hamilton" is a musical retelling of America's founding, casting people of color in the roles of the founding fathers, including Alexander Hamilton, the show's eponymous hero. “This is a story about America then, told by America now," Miranda told The Atlantic Magazine in 2015.

Tickets went on sale at 9:00 a.m., and according to the Fox's website, they're already gone:

Tickets to HAMILTON are no longer available through The Fox Theatre box office or MetroTix. Additional seats may be made available for sale closer to the engagement. Please feel free to check back at your convenience. There will be a lottery for this engagement - details will be announced closer to the engagement. Sign up for the Fox Events email list to ensure you get the latest updates on the show.

The theater warns against scalpers and counterfeiters selling the tickets for many times what they are worth in the coming weeks, so don't get scammed.
