Major Accident Leaves 2 Dead, 7 Injured In North St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, MO — Fire officials say a major accident in north St. Louis has left two people dead and seven injured, including two in critical condition. Six of the injured were children and two of the children were not in car seats, authorities said. Those killed were both adults.

The two-vehicle accident, which happened shortly before 10 a.m. in the 9400 block of Riverview Drive, involved an SUV and a truck, authorities said.

It's not clear what caused the accident. Riverview Drive is closed in the vicinity of the accident.
