Man Accused Of Stealing Packages From South City Doorsteps

ST. LOUIS, MO — Police have arrested a man accused of stealing packages from doorsteps across the south city, Fox 2 reports.
Timothy Starks, 33, was taken into custody Thursday after a homeowner said he spotted the man stealing a package on his Nest surveillance camera. After watching the theft on his smartphone, he rushed home to find the accused thief still in the area.
The homeowner trailed Starks' car to a nearby KFC, where police arrested him.

Authorities say they found several stolen packages in Starks' car. Starks, who is listed as homeless in court documents, has been charged with stealing, a misdemeanor. No defense attorney is listed.
