Here are the top three stories today in St. Louis:
- A St. Louis man has admitted in federal court to contacting the FBI and threatening to blow up the Central Reform Congregation. Cody Steven Rush, 30, contacted the FBI about the threats on Nov. 5, 2021. He stated he wanted to blow up the synagogue "when they open tomorrow" because "he hates Jews." He now faces 10 years in prison and will be sentenced on Nov. 8. (St. Louis Post-Dispatch)
- Parts of St. Louis have been declared a federal disaster area by President Joe Biden. Governor Mike Parson requested the declaration to allow the area to be eligible for FEMA's Public Assistance Program. Residents are still encouraged to contact the United Way by dialing 211. - The Missouri Attorney General is reportedly investigating the Loop Lofts. The investigation is regarding the leasing company giving residents a three-day notice to move out of the building. The Attorney General's office's Consumer Protection division is reportedly investigating the issue. (KSDK.com)
