Man Dies A Decade After Being Shot

ST. LOUIS, MO — Willie H. Davison was murdered more than a decade ago. He died last October.

The Post-Dispatch reports 38-year-old Davison was shot in the stomach in July 2006. He was treated and released from a hospital, and prosecutors declined to charge his shooter — it's not clear why.

Davison died last year after suffering complications related to his decades-old gunshot wound. The St. Louis medical examiner's office has officially ruled his death a homicide.

Police were notified Friday, officials said. They did not say whether the now 39-year-old shooter will be charged.
