McCluer North Student Brought Loaded Gun To School: Police
Police took the student into custody after the student alerted school officials that he had the gun in a book bag.

FLORISSANT, MO — Police have arrested a McCleur North Senior High School student in Florissant after authorities said the student brought a loaded handgun to school in a book bag.
The Post-Dispatch reports the student alerted staff that he or she "might have something in a book bag that shouldn't be at school," citing a police press release.

The school's resource officer searched the bag and found the gun as well as a razor. It's not clear why the student had the weapons or if he or she was planning to use them. The student was taken into custody. The case will be handled in juvenile court.
