MetroBus Stop Shooting Leaves One Man Dead, Another Injured

ST. LOUIS, MO — One man is dead and another injured after a shooting at a MetroBus stop on Grand Boulevard in St. Louis Tuesday afternoon, Fox 2 reports. Police say a fight broke out between two men at a nearby fast food restaurant. The men continued to fight as they made their way to the bus stop. Shortly after they arrived there, one of them pulled a gun and shot the other in the face. A bystander was also shot in the chest.
The shooting happened around 6:30 p.m., police said. The bystander was taken to a nearby hospital where he died. The other man, who police say was involved in the fight, survived the shooting. His condition is currently unknown.
Police have not yet released the identities of either victim. The shooter fled north on Grand Boulevard after the shooting, witnesses said.

"At Metro Transit, we are not immune to the violent crimes occurring in the municipalities we serve," the transit agency said in a statement. "Tonight, a dispute that started at another location in the community ended with deadly violence near a major MetroBus stop on Grand Avenue, the Grand Transit Center in St. Louis."
Metro Transit said it hopes the shooter is swiftly taken into custody and that Metro Transit officers are assisting the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department in their investigation.

That investigation is ongoing. Police say the shooter is not yet in custody. It's not clear if they have a suspect.
