Here are the top three stories today in St. Louis:

  1. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department is conducting an investigation into a prank call related to Roosevelt High School in south city. The department responded to the school on Thursday after a call was made stating that someone had a rifle and multiple students were injured. The department determined that the call’s information was not credible. (Fox 2 Now)
  2. St. Louis Cardinals fans witnessed a historical moment that will likely not be repeated on Wednesday night at Busch Stadium. Catcher Yadier Molina and pitcher Adam Wainwright now hold the regular season record for the most starts as a battery in all of Major League Baseball. The pair have started 325 games together. Molina celebrated the historical moment with a special catcher’s mask depicting the duo. (Fox 2 Now)
  3. Civil rights advocates are demanding an investigation into the city’s jail. The investigation is related to six detainees' deaths and the jail’s conditions. ArchCity Defenders, Action St. Louis, Freedom Community Center, Metropolitan Congregational United, and more have called for the investigation.
