  1. RE/MAX's recent National Housing Report for August 2022 indicates that St. Louis has one of the most significant year-over-year decreases in property listings. The report states that St. Louis' year-over-year rate has decreased by 27.1 percent. The only two markets with a higher decrease than St. Louis are Dover, DE, and Milwaukee, WI.   2. A 90-pound catfish was caught on the Mississippi River near St. Louis. Wallace Maier, the owner of Angry Cat Outdoors fishing company, caught the catfish. He was reportedly fishing in the river to prepare for the 2022 Alton Catfish Classic. The catch occurred on an overcast 80-degree morning. (KTVI Fox 2 St. Louis)
  3. Bed Bath & Beyond has announced that it will be closing its St. Louis location at 6611 N. Illinois St. The closure announcement was part of a larger effort to close 150 of its locations. The plan will reportedly reduce its corporate and logistics workforce by 20 percent while securing new financing worth $500 million. The store will likely close by the end of the year.
