- The city held its 34th annual football game between the United States Army and Navy at the Missouri Athletic Club. Guests brought toys for the U.S. Marine Corps’ Toys for Tots Campaign, collecting more toys than any other privately held event in St. Louis. The Navy Midshipmen ultimately won the game with a final score of 17-13. (Ladue News)
- St. Louis Mayor Tishaura O. Jones has appointed Vernon Mitchell as the city's Chief Equity and Inclusion Officer. Jones stated in a press release that Mitchell's role will "help ensure St. Louis government is more equitable across racial lines." Mitchell will begin his new position on Jan. 3. - A filmmaker is inviting St. Louis residents to appear in a movie about the AIDS crisis. The film's director, Dan Steadman, is looking for fifteen to twenty people in the queer community to play the support system of the film's lead character as they celebrate New Year’s Eve in 1987. The director is open to actors of all types regardless of age, gender, race, and acting experience. (Riverfront Times)
