  1. Mayor Tishaura Jones has passed a new city budget. This budget is the first one that the city has enacted in two years and will go into effect on Friday. The most notable piece of the new budget is a 3 percent raise for city employees and a $2,000 retention bonus for COVID-19 pandemic work. (KMOV4)
  2. The St. Louis Land Reutilization Authority will wait for new Aldermanic leadership before selling additional property. The decision is due to being burnt by former Alderman Jeffery Boyd and former Alderman Collins-Muhammad's alleged bribery scheme. The Authority controls thousands of properties, mainly focused in the north part of St. Louis, and processes dozens of requests each month. (St. Louis Post-Dispatch)
  3. St. Louis residents are sharing frustrations on social media about trash piling up at city dumpsters. According to the posts, broken furniture, trash bags, and mattresses are piling up in city alleys. The city claims that trash issues are due to the trash service being understaffed and under-equipped. (Riverfront Times)
