Here are the top three stories today in St. Louis:
- A new FEMA Disaster Resource Center has been opened on Arsenal Street. The center is located at the Salvation Army Temple Center near the corner of California. - Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt's lawsuit regarding St. Louis' use of federal funds to support travel to abortion services has been sent back to Missouri courts. Both sides of the lawsuit wanted the case to be transferred back to the state's courts. Abortion-rights advocates were concerned that if the lawsuit succeeded in federal courts it would negatively impact the rest of the country. (Daily Journal Online)
- The tiny homes at Veteran's Community village in North St. Louis will likely be ready by the end of fall. The village is located at Cass and North Grand. The nonprofit hopes to serve thousands of homeless veterans in St. Louis and Illinois areas. The goal of the project is to transition the individuals to more permanent housing over time. (KMOV4)
