North County Police Co-Op Chief Suspended, Reason Unclear

Chief Tim Swope has been suspended indefinitely​. It's not yet clear why.

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO — North County Police Cooperative Chief Tim Swope has been suspended indefinitely, KMOV reports. It's not currently clear why.

The North County Co-op currently serves seven municipalities: Wellston, Pine Lawn, Vinita Terrace, Vinita Park, Beverly Hills, Velda Village Hills and Charlack, according to the department's website. The Co-op is a full service police department, providing patrol, criminal investigations, drug enforcement, K9, traffic enforcement and other services. Each precinct has a commander who reports to the municipal government of each city or township, as well as the Chief of Police.
