One Dead In Botanical Heights House Fire
The house was boarded with plywood and firefighters initially believed it to be vacant. They found one person dead on the second floor.

ST. LOUIS, MO — One person is dead after a house fire in the city's Botanical Heights neighborhood Tuesday morning. Firefighters initially believed the boarded-up two-story home on Lafayette Avenue to be vacant, but that wasn't the case. Investigators are trying to determine who the victim is. The home did not have electricity or running water. The fire seems to have started in a second-floor bedroom, an official said.
