One Dead In Jennings House Fire

A 44-year-old man was killed in a house fire Tuesday morning. The cause of the fire is not yet known.

ST. LOUIS, MO — One person was killed in an early-morning house fire in Jennings, Mo., a small suburb of St. Louis located just north of Interstate 70. Authorities say the fire started around 2 a.m. and no cause has been determined.

KMOV reportsa 44-year-old man's body was found underneath debris in the house's kitchen, where it is likely the fire originated. Riverview Fire District Chief Keith Goldstein said the homeowner returned to the house after the fire had been extinguished and reported his roommate unaccounted for. Some witnesses said the victim may have been disabled, but that has not been confirmed.
