Here are the top three stories today in St. Louis:
- A committee of the Aldermanic Board has advanced a bill that would allocate $1 million to assist St. Louis women to travel to Illinois for abortions. Missouri activated an abortion ban after the United States Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. The bill's funding is through the American Rescue Plan Act. (St. Louis Post-Dispatch)
- The second case of Monkeypox has been confirmed in the state of Missouri. Both cases occurred in the Kansas City area and occurred in individuals that traveled out of state. - The next Muny performance will be Disney and Cameron Mackintosh's Mary Poppins. The performance is based on the popular family-friendly Walt Disney film. Ameren is sponsoring the performance from Jul. 5 through Jul. 13. Click for the full cast description and to purchase tickets. (Muny)
