  1. Oysters and stouts are taking over St. Louis this weekend as the 22nd annual Schlafly Stout and Oyster Festival returns for its in-person event! As the largest oyster festival in the Midwest, some 80,000 oysters on the half shell have been flown in and will feature three raw bars and multiple other specialties like Rockefeller, oyster chowder, fried oysters, and roasted oysters. Head to the Schlafly Tap Room location in Downtown West for all the festivities and click the link for the featured bands! (KSDK.com)
  2. A new coffee-table book chronicling the Irish in St. Louis has been released. Patrick Murphy wrote, “The Irish in St. Louis: From Shanty to Lace Curtain," to take us into the hearts of the region’s Irish. On Mar. 28 at 5:30 p.m., Murphy will be at the Barnes & Noble at the West County Center, a 20-minute drive from St. Louis. To read a detailed review of the book, click the link. 3. St. Louis mothers are collecting baby carriers to ship to Ukrainian parents in the wake of the Russian invasion. “I can’t imagine having to actually flee a warzone with bombs and bullets overhead, and not have a way to carry your baby,” said "We Carry Ukraine" founder, Natalie Vowell. Packing and shipping the carriers to Poland adds up so if you're interested in donating, organizers are asking for buckle style baby carriers that are simple to use. Click the link to learn more.
