Here are the top three stories in St. Louis today:

  1. Procter & Gamble has announced plans to invest $180 million into its north St. Louis plant. The investment will stabilize the plant's current workforce while laying the foundation for hiring an additional staff of 100. The company is asking the St. Louis Port Authority to provide a number of incentives for the investment. Proctor & Gamble wants a 50 percent tax break on $60 million worth of new equipment and a sales tax exemption on construction materials. (St. Louis Post-Dispatch)
  2. St. Louis' ALDI stores are hosting hiring events next week from Sep. 12 through Sep. 18. The event is part of the grocery chain's National Hiring Week initiative. Participants will have the opportunity to interview on-site and job offers will be made the same day. The event will be held at six different locations in St. Louis. Click to view the store list.   3. The Maryland Heights City Council has approved zoning for a new industrial park in St. Louis County. The three-building site will be owned by Kansas City-based NorthPoint Development. The project is expected to cost $112 million. The cost will likely change based on supplies and materials costs. (KSDK.com)
