Pair Charged With Hitting 'Gus Gus Fun Bus' Owner In Saint Louis
Mike Arnold, the owner of "Gus Gus Fun Bus," was trying to video a truck theft when he was hit by the accused thieves.

ST. LOUIS, MO — A man and a woman have been charged with hitting two pedestrians during an attempted robbery in downtown St. Louis Saturday afternoon. According to court documents, 20-year-old Curtis Alford and 18-year-old Jana Stowers pepper sprayed the owners of a Ford F-150 pick-up truck just after 12:30 p.m. in the 700 block of Chestnut Street, took the victims' keys and drove away in the truck.
Mike Arnold, the owner of "Gus Gus Fun Bus," a local party bus available for events, winery trips and pub cruises, was one of the people hit. Prosecutors said he was trying to video the incident. Arnold was less than a block from Kiener Plaza when he was struck. He had been there participating in "Taste of Downtown STL," a restaurant festival.
Alford and Curtis also came close to hitting two police officers, who attempted to stop them as they fled. The two crashed the truck a short time later and were arrested.
