Police Identify Body Found By Barge Workers In Mississippi River

Officials believe Shelby Davis, 22, is the same person who drove a car into the river near Laclede's landing Friday.

ST. LOUIS, MO — Police have identified a man pulled from the Mississippi River near St. Louis Monday as 22-year-old Shelbe Davis, of Florissant, the Post-Dispatch reports. Barge workers hauled Davis' body out of the river Monday morning. Officials believe Davis is the man who drove a car into the river near Laclede's landing Friday.

No further information has been released.
