Police Seek Witnesses To Fatal Walmart Parking Lot Shooting

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO — Police say 29-year-old Alexander Marley was fatally shot in the parking lot of a south county Walmart Thursday night. He was found shortly after 10 p.m. and taken to a hospital where he died.
Marley was an executive chef or Andre's Banquets & Catering, The Post-Dispatch reports.
Police identified a person of interest who may have sought help after the shooting at a nearby gas station between 8:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. It's not clear if he is a suspect or merely a witness, but authorities want to talk with the unidentified man.

Police asked anyone else who may have witnessed the shooting to also contact them.

Marley may have been targeted by his killer, police said, but the basis of that information isn't clear. Police said he may have been approached by a panhandler shortly before the shooting.
