BREAKING: Police Shoot Two, One Fatally, In College Hill
Police shot an adult male and a 14-year-old juvenile in College Hill Thanksgiving afternoon. The adult, whom police say was armed, has died.

ST. LOUIS, MO -- Police were on a routine patrol shortly after noon in the College Hill neighborhood of North St. Louis, when a car pulled out of an alley, spun out and crashed into a curb, St. Louis Police Chief Lawrence O'Toole said at a press conference this afternoon. When an adult male excited the car with a Glock handgun, police opened fire, killing the man and injuring a 14-year old who had also been a passenger in the car.
Police have not identified the deceased, and have not released the identity of the injured teenager.
Officials said the 2016 Hyundai was later recognized as the same car involved in a carjacking yesterday in Warren, but officers did not know that at the time.

Two additional passengers in the car fled the scene and are still at large, police said.
The officers who opened fire are 30 years old and 29 years old, respectively, and have six years of service between them. They feared for their lives, O'Toole said. Both have been placed on administrative leave per department policy, and the Force Investigation Unit is looking into the shooting.
