Here are the top three stories in St. Louis today:
- St. Louis Realtors has issued a public apology regarding its history of racially discriminatory policies. The Monday statement included an admittance of decades of laws and policies meant to create barriers for African Americans to own homes in the St. Louis City area. During the apology, the group announced its Reimagining St. Louis Plan that will hopefully price a more equitable housing market. (KSDK)
- St. Louis consumers report that solar power companies have been underperforming and overpromising during the summer months. The accusations surround Pink Energy, formerly known as PowerHome Solar. The company and its CEO are pushing the blame on a parts vendor, but the parts vendor is disputing the allegations. The Missouri Attorney General's Office reports a rise in consumer complaints regarding solar companies. (KMOV)
- A former St. Louis County high school counselor has admitted to having sexual relationships with students. James Q. Jenkins, 38, pled guilty to coercing and enticing minors and transferring obscene material to minors. His sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 20. (Justice.gov)
