Here are the top three stories in St. Louis today:

  1. St. Louis County has expanded its family planning services for county residents. The executive order titled "Right Time" is a six-year initiative aimed at reducing unintended pregnancies while offering sexual health resources. The Missouri Family Health council has joined the initiative. The county reports its initiative is focused on helping residents without health insurance. (KSDK.com)
  2. AMTRAK has canceled some routes between St. Louis and Chicago. The routes will be canceled through Tuesday, Aug. 23. The company has alluded the cancellations might be extended. Click to check on AMTRAK commutes. (KTVI Fox 2 St. Louis)
  3. The St. Louis Development Corporation's board has approved a 2023 fiscal year budget. The new budget is $4.4 million more than last year's. The increase is for additional hires and consulting contracts. The new budget was approved through a unanimous board vote on Thursday. (St. Louis Public Radio)
