Saint Louis To Hold Dueling Saint Patrick's Day Parades
The city's official parade will start later at 1 p.m. while the Dogtown parade will start earlier at 10 a.m.

ST. LOUIS, MO — Ordinarily, the official St. Louis St. Patrick's Day parade is held the Saturday before the actual holiday, while the Ancient Order of Hibernians' parade through the city's traditionally Irish Dogtown neighborhood is held March 17, rain or shine.
This year, St. Patrick's Day falls on a Saturday, so both parades will be held on the same day. The organizers of the Dogtown parade have agreed to move their parade's start time to 10 a.m., while the city's will be held at 1 p.m.
After the parade, Dogtown will also hold an Irish Festival featuring crafts, food, and music, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tamm Ave. will be closed between Nashville Ave. and Berthold Ave. during that time.
