Saint Louis Police Lip Sync Under The Gateway Arch
The production values are pretty fantastic, with officers dancing all across the city, from Ball Park Village to the Gateway Arch.
ST. LOUIS, MO — The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department has become the latest law enforcement agency to fall victim to a dangerous trend sweeping the country: lip sync videos. Ballwin PD succumbed last month, crooning Adele's "Someone Like You" to a delicious-looking plate of doughnuts. But, SLMPD wasn't going to be outdone. After being challenged by the Norfolk Police Department, they pulled out all the stops.
Cedric the Entertainer, who is from Missouri, opens the video. Once the music starts — a mash-up featuring songs from Will Smith, Aretha Franklin, Bruno Mars and others — the camera cuts to Police Chief John Hayden twirling a cane.
The department wrote on Facebook Thursday:

The Wait Is Over! The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department was challenged by the Norfolk Police Department to a lip sync battle. Officers and civilians donated their time off-duty to make this video a huge success. We’ve been in the lab working on a formula that’s going to blow your MIND! We now challenge the St. Louis County Police Department…Show us what you got!!!!
Watch the video above. The production is pretty fantastic, with officers dancing all across the city, from Ball Park Village to the Gateway Arch. A police helicopter even makes an appearance. The department thanked Tommy Holstein of Holstein Studios and Erika Pappa for making the video possible.
