- One woman is dead following a shooting in The Grove on Sunday evening. Police say 42-year-old Shakena Williams was found suffering from a gunshot wound at the QuikTrip on Vandeventer Avenue and was transported to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Police identified a second shooting victim, a man in his 40s, as a possible suspect in the incident. (KSDK.com)
- Mayor Tishaura O. Jones is asking for the public's input on the next round of federal pandemic aid, which totals $249 million. A survey is available online for residents to indicate what they believe are the city's greatest needs, which may include children and youth, public health, and city services and infrastructure. Respondents also have the option to suggest other areas of concern that are not on the list. (St. Louis Post-Dispatch)
- A historic 19th-century home could be demolished to make way for the expansion of Powell Hall, the home of the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra. Fifteen preservationists attended a board meeting last week to protest the proposed demolition of the Culver House on Delmar Boulevard. During the meeting, developer Steve Smith offered to donate land to relocate the historic home if the preservationists can raise the money to pay for the process. (St. Louis Public Radio)
