Here are the top three stories today in St. Louis:
- St. Louis' Wendell Davis, 32, has sued the city for a 2017 incident that resulted in paralyzation from his waist down. According to the lawsuit, Davis was unjustifiably shot by a city police officer in the back three times. The exact sequence of events in the case is disputed. (St. Louis Post-Dispatch)
- John C. Christmas, 49, has been charged with first-degree attempted arson after allegedly attempting to burn down his brother's home. Jerryl Christmas, John's brother, is a St. Louis lawyer that lives in University City. John attempted to burn down Jerryl's home on Jeanerette Drive at 2:00 a.m. after sending threatening texts. According to Jerryl, his brother suffers from bipolar disorder and substance abuse. (St. Louis Post-Dispatch)
- Katherine Pinner has changed her mind and posted on her website that she will continue running for St. Louis County Executive. Last week, Pinner announced her decision to drop out of the race. On Nov. 8, she will be on the ballot next to incumbent democrat Sam Page. (KSDK.com)
