Here are the top three stories today in St. Louis:

  1. The Soulard Oktoberfest continues today from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Admission is free to the Soulard Farmers Market Plaza during the event. There will be a VIP tent set up for participants 21 years and older. There will be a variety of beer, wine, and food options available. (KSDK.com)
  2. The St. Louis area is driving an increase in monkeypox cases despite a decline in cases across the country. The St. Louis Department of Health has reported a total of 52 monkeypox cases and St. Louis County has reported a total of 28 cases. So far, the state has seen a total of 124 monkeypox cases.   3. The St. Louis Cardinals have lost the first Wild Card Series game against the Philadelphia Phillies. The Cardinals led the Phillies into the ninth inning 2-0 but gave up six runs. The final score was 6-3. The second game in the three-game series will be tomorrow at 7:37 p.m. with Miles Mikolas as starting pitcher for the Cardinals. (CBS Sports)

  • The Shaw Art Fair will be at Flora Place in Historic Shaw on Saturday and Sunday. The fair will feature 130 different artists. There will also be a variety of food options available. (City of St. Louis)
