  1. The Gateway Arch has officially lifted its masking requirement. The mandate was implemented by the national park on Jun. 6 to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. The park expects a large number of tourists to visit during the Jul. 4 weekend. Face masks will continue to be offered to visitors at no charge. (KTVI Fox 2 St. Louis)
  2. The new owner of the former AT&T office tower has applied for the building to be listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The designation would hopefully provide enough subsidies to pay for its redevelopment. SomeraRoad Inc. is arguing that the tower's post-modern design and globally renowned architect, HOK, is worth the designation. (St. Louis Post-Dispatch)
  3. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department has launched a new program focused on solving homicide cases. The program will install QR codes at restaurants, airports, department stores, and various locations throughout the city. Each QR code will lead to a list of unsolved St. Louis area homicides.
