Here are the top three stories today in St. Louis:
- The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that St. Louis' Phillip Van Tine has died in a motorcycle accident. The crash occurred on Interstate 70 westbound in Boone County around 8:45 a.m. on Saturday. According to the State Highway Patrol, Van Tine struck the back of a pickup truck. (KTVI Fox 2 St. Louis)
- Thousands of St. Louis residents gathered in Forest Park on Saturday for the St. Louis Walk To Defeat ALS. The participants gathered at The Upper Muny parking lot. According to the ALS Association Development Manager, the walk had about 140 different teams participate. Money raised during the walk will be used to fund ALS research. (KTVI Fox 2 St. Louis)
- The annual Black Wall Street Festival was held in Historic Wellston Loop on Saturday. Over 100 Black vendors and groups participated in the festival in North St. Louis. The event was hosted by Young Voices with Action, led by Farrakhan Shegog. During the festival, Congresswoman Cori Bush presented a check for almost $1 million for the Wellston Loop Mixed-Use Development project. (KSDK.com)

- The Saint Louis Zoo shares an interesting video of their spotted hyenas staying cool during the ongoing heat wave. The video shows two hyenas having a blast playing in the water; animals also have the option to stay indoors in the air conditioning. (Saint Louis Zoo via Facebook)
