- A St. Louis Planned Parenthood sex education instructor has been named among ten educators from across the country in TIME magazine's first-ever Innovative Teachers list. Willow Rosen was chosen for their innovative lessons on anatomy, hygiene, puberty, and sexual consent. Missouri does not have a sex education requirement for schools. (St. Louis Post-Dispatch)
- A new study reports that St. Louis' housing market is overvalued by 21 percent. This is the highest increase the area has experienced in the last 15 years. The expected price of the average St. Louis home is $196,000 but it currently rests at $239,000. (KTVI Fox 2 St. Louis)
- Joe Vollmer has been appointed to lead the Board of Aldermen. Vollmer is a longtime Alderman from the city's Hill neighborhood and was the next in line to be the Board's President. Vollmer has assumed the President position after three members of the Board resigned in response to a federal indictment for bribery. He will now have to repair the public's trust in the Board. - The St. Louis County Police Department's community event will be on Saturday, Jun. 25 at Saint Louis University High School. The city and county police basketball teams will be competing against each other. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. Free food, raffles, and a 3-point contest will be offered.
