Here are the top three stories in St. Louis today:
- The St. Louis Lebanese Festival is scheduled for this Saturday and Sunday. The popular festival will be held at St. Raymond Maronite Cathedral on Lebanon Drive. There will be authentic Lebanese wine, beer, and food offered at the event. Live music and dances will also be on display. (KSDK.com)
- St. Louis health workers are placing "naloxboxes" in various St. Louis neighborhoods. The boxes will be placed throughout the city and county in areas with high levels of drug overdoses and will contain two doses of Narcan. Each box will also contain instructions for use and a breathing barrier for mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. (St. Louis Public Radio)
- The St. Louis Tax Increment Financing Commission has given an endorsement for Cortex tech district tax breaks. The approval was given through a 4-1 vote on Wednesday. It is unclear if the approval will translate into St. Louis Board of Alderman legislation. Alderman Tina Phil reports she is not entirely convinced Cortex needs the tax breaks.
