St. Louis Man Convicted Of Murdering His Ex-Girlfriend

The woman's 11-year-old brother testified that he heard Victor Whittier's voice prior to the gunshots that killed his sister.

ST. LOUIS, MO — A jury found 25-year-old Victor Whittier guilty Wednesday of murder for the 2017 killing of his 24-year-old ex-girlfriend, Cierra Jackson, the Post-Dispatch reports. Jackson had taken out a restraining order against Whittier prior to her death, accusing him of sending threatening text messages, according to court documents.

In August, 2017, Jackson's 11-year-old brother found her dead after — prosecutors said — Whittier fired multiple gunshots through Jackson's bedroom window. The child, who was in another room playing video games, testified that he heard Whittier's voice prior to the gunshots.

Whittier is due to be sentenced in November.
