Stan Lee Cancels St. Louis 'Wizard World' Appearance
The comic book icon was rushed to the hospital Wednesday night. He is recuperating and will not be in St. Louis this weekend.

ST. LOUIS, MO — Stan Lee, the co-creator of Marvel Comics and an icon in the comic book industry, has canceled his appearance at this weekend's St. Louis' Wizard World convention. Lee, 95, was rushed to Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles Wednesday night after experiencing difficulty breathing and an irregular heartbeat, TMZ reports.
A spokesman for Lee said Thursday that he was recuperating and would stay under observation, but Lee was released from the hospital sometime Thursday and said Friday that he was eager to return to his normal schedule.
Despite that, his appearance in St. Louis this weekend will not go forward. Incredible Hulk actor Lou Ferrigno also canceled earlier this week. Anyone who purchased autograph or photo op tickets will get vouchers for any of the convention's other celebrity guests, who include Game of Thrones' Sean Bean, Lord of the Rings and Stranger Things' Sean Astin, Buffy the Vampire Slayer's James Marsters and Star Trek actress Nichelle Nichols, among many others.
