Here are the top three stories in St. Louis today:
- A St. Louis public high school student was arrested Thursday after being accused of bringing a loaded gun to school. The 16-year-old, who has not been identified, was attending Nottingham Community Access and Job Training High School. According to reports, the gun was found by safety officers and removed from the student. The student told school officials that he had brought the gun to school to protect himself from threats of violence he had received. He was later taken into police custody. (KSDK.com)
- Churches throughout the St. Louis area are banding together to help people get out of medical debt. So far, Episcopal churches in the area have raised over $25,000. There is more than $5.5 million worth of medical debt among low-income people throughout the city and the rest of the state. (KTVI Fox 2 St. Louis)
- Several restaurants across St. Louis were broken into early Wednesday morning. Multiple popular restaurants were targeted, including Five Guys, Hi-Pointe Drive-In, and Vicia.
