- Officials with the Metropolitan St. Louis Police Department say they now believe the recent string of burglaries at St. Louis-area businesses are connected. Police suspect a group of teenagers is responsible for the overnight crimes, which have resulted in thousands of dollars in damages. The burglars have hit an estimated 21 businesses already. - St. Louis County broke ground on a new police precinct yesterday, Nov. 2. The new Affton-Southwest Precinct Three is located on Dunn Road in Spanish Lake, where construction began just last month. Both St. Louis County Executive Sam Page and Police Chief Kenneth Gregory made appearances during the Wednesday morning ceremony. (KTVI Fox 2 St. Louis)
- Local brewery Schlafly Beer is hosting a "cans for cans" food drive all month long. The sixth annual drive will benefit the St. Louis Area Foodbank, which serves more than 392,000 people in Missouri and Illinois. Participants in the drive can redeem six cans of beer per visit in exchange for a donation of 12 canned food items. Donations can be made at all Schlafly brewpubs. (KMOV4)
