Three Shot As Rap Battle Turns Real At Saint Louis Club
A local rapper apparently angered a group of at least six individuals during an open-mic "rap battle."

ST. LOUIS, MO — The Post-Dispatch reports three people were shot after a brawl at Mood Lounge, a downtown nightclub, Wednesday night. None of the injuries were life-threatening, police said, but one victim's condition is listed as critical.
The shooting occurred around 11:30 p.m. at the club on Locust Street, just a few blocks north of the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. Witnesses said the club was hosting a rap battle between local rappers. Apparently, one of the rappers angered a group in the audience. A fight broke out and the group left the club but returned with guns.
That's when the rap battle turned into a real one. Bullets shattered windows and struck at least three people. One witness reported seeing six people firing guns. Dozens of bullets were fired and evidence markers littered the street outside the club soon after the shooting.
