  1. Police say someone crashed a truck into a Walgreens in west St. Louis early Thursday morning in an attempt to steal the ATM. The vehicle reportedly rammed the front door of the store on Manchester and McCausland Avenue around 4:00 a.m. The suspects were then spotted attempting to hook the ATM to the truck and pull it out of the store.   2. A former St. Louis school principal was indicted by a federal grand jury for his involvement in the 2016 murder of a pregnant teacher. The federal indictment alleges Cornelius Green, formerly a principal at Carr Lane Visual & Performing Arts Middle School, impregnated the victim in 2015 and hired his friend, Phillip Cutler, to cover it up. Both Green and Cutler were previously charged by the St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office for the murders of the victim and her unborn child. (KTVI Fox 2 St. Louis)
  3. Emerson, one of St. Louis's largest companies, has made a $200 million pledge to support education equity initiatives. The Ferguson-based public company will provide the funding over a ten-year period, focusing on initiatives targeting early childhood and student services in under-resourced communities. The decade-long commitment includes partnerships with local organizations including the Urban League of Metropolitan Saint Louis and The Opportunity Trust. (Yahoo!)
