- United Way of Greater St. Louis recently celebrated 100 years of service to the region. In a ceremony this week, President and CEO Michelle Tucker announced the organization has raised and invested nearly $3 billion in the St. Louis community over the last century. - A local bartender is gearing up to compete on a new Netflix competition show. Meredith Barry, co-owner of Platypus, will face off against 11 other mixologists from around the continent in the hopes of earning a $100,000 prize and the title of Ultimate Drink Master. - A Ferguson man has been sentenced to life in prison for the 2019 murder of 22-year-old Charles Lagrone in St. Louis. 25-year-old Teraz Bateman was found guilty of second-degree murder, first-degree robbery, and two counts of armed criminal action in what his lawyer argued was a "drug deal gone bad." Bateman told the court he believes he was wrongly convicted and says he plans to appeal the sentencing. (KMOV4)
