UPS Will Hire 900 Seasonal Employees In St Louis

Anyone interested in being a package-handler or a driver can apply on the company's website.

CBS St. Louis reports that UPS is hoping to hire more than 900 seasonal employees in the St. Louis area this winter. With demand up over last year, and only a week left until Christmas, drivers and package handlers are staying busy. The company said it delivers more than 30 million packages a day in December, and more than three-quarters of a billion total during the holiday season.

CBS spoke to a representative of the company:

UPS spokesman Steve Gaut says they’re looking to hire more than 900 seasonal employees in Saint Louis.
“These are not only great seasonal jobs, they have the potential to lead to great careers. Over the last three years, 35 percent of the people we hired for seasonal package handler jobs were later hired into a regular position with excellent benefits when the holidays were over,” he says.

If you're interested in one of the jobs, visit the company's website to apply.
