Here are the top three stories in St. Louis today:

  1. St. Louis City will be hosting a warrant reset event on Friday, Aug. 26. The event will also feature a second chance job fair for all participants - even those with prior convictions. The event will be between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at St. Louis City Hall on the 1st floor. (KTVI Fox 2 St. Louis)
  2. Some insurance companies are claiming that St. Louis did not flood. Some residents are having flood insurance claims denied by insurance adjusters. Some adjusters are claiming it was a sewer issue and that the sewer utility is responsible for damages. MSD is sending out $2,900 checks for water backups but the checks are not covering all of the reported damage. (Riverfront Times)
  3. The St. Louis Department of Health held a virtual town hall last night to discuss monkeypox. The event was held online at 6:00 p.m. St. Louis County Health Department was tapped by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services to act as the region's monkeypox vaccine hub. The region covers St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. Charles, and Jefferson County. (KSDK.com)
